Information we process
We process account email and password hashes; tank profiles, photos, livestock, tests, feeding and maintenance records; equipment details, electrical observations and collector credential hashes; preferences, legal acknowledgments, privacy requests and service delivery history. Hosting and security systems may record connection information such as IP addresses and request logs. Do not include sensitive personal information in aquarium notes.
Purpose and access
We use these records to authenticate accounts, display histories, support equipment learning, explain available evidence, deliver reports you enable, provide support and protect the service. Private tank and equipment records are restricted to their account. Authorized operators and hosting providers can access records when necessary to operate, secure or support the service.
External services
HostGator hosts the application and database. Email delivery uses the configured server transport. If you choose Search public catalog, your species search text is sent to GBIF; your tank profile and account email are not included in that search. External reference and merchant links lead to services with their own privacy practices. This release does not send your tank records to an AI provider and has no active payment provider.
Advertising and sharing
This release does not sell account data or include third-party advertising pixels. Affiliate offers, if later configured, must be disclosed separately. New tracking, payment or AI processing requires updated disclosures and any consent required for that use.
Retention and security
Account records and raw telemetry are retained during this beta unless a reviewed deletion request is fulfilled or a documented retention rule is introduced. Backups may retain older copies after live records are removed. Exact backup expiry and operational retention periods are still being finalized; request details through Account & privacy. We use account access controls and HTTPS, but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
Use Account & privacy to download an authenticated export or submit access, correction or deletion requests and view their status. We verify identity before sensitive actions and may retain records needed for security or legal obligations. A request acknowledgment is not a claim that deletion is complete. Children and policy changes
The beta is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Contact the operator if a child has supplied information. We retain identified policy versions and present material changes for review.
